ASTROLOGY EXPLORED…..

Astrology is fundamentally in its ancient roots, a philosophical spiritual tradition who’s aim is to develop knowledge or understanding of the higher forms and patterns in the mind of the Universe or the mind of God.  The chart is a picture of our material karma.  In both Platonism and Yogic philosophy, the soul is thought to transmigrate from one body and lifetime to the next , having fallen asleep in the material energy and longing to wake back up.   The spiritual life is thus about the science, the art, and the practice of awakening and joining the soul to its eternal source amid the turning cycles of the material universe.  

The chart is cast for an individual and is read in order to ascertain information about one’s fate or karma.  It is a karmic snapshot of the spiritual and psychological landscape in which the soul resides, a karmic framework shaping our reality along the path to enlightenment. I view it as the karma and ecology the soul finds itself in; telling the story of personal and spiritual evolution-where we have been, our current life being conditioned for where our soul intends to go next.  The moment of our birth might be said as constellating a grand adventure or ‘hero’s journey’, upon which the soul embarks on and engages us in in this lifetime.  How we choose to engage on this adventure is up to us. 

Although our form is fixed and fated, our free will is not; if we choose to integrate and learn lessons along the path of life, instead of allowing unprocessed issues to crystallize and stagnate we can elevate, grow and awaken to our optimal potential!  

Astrology is part science, art and magic.  On a collective level, it is among the oldest spiritual and scientific practices on the planet, underpinning our civilization.  It has the power to shed light on who we truly are, reminding us we are more than we perceive; we are part of a greater whole that is divinely perfectly formed!

It affirms what we intuitively know, highlighting our innate gifts and talents to support optimal growth. By shedding light on evolutionary cycles and the lessons we’re navigating, astrology helps us approach transitions with grace, awareness, and self-compassion. Ultimately, it returns us to our truest nature, offering clarity and direction as we journey through life.
